Event Type
An event type is a configurable meeting template that defines the duration, location, buffer time, and availability rules for a booking page. It allows professionals to offer different kinds of meetings -- each with its own constraints -- from a single scheduling link, ensuring every booking fits the right format.
Different meetings have different requirements. A sales discovery call might be 30 minutes on Zoom, while a strategy workshop could be 90 minutes in-person. Event types let you codify these differences so that people booking time with you always get the right meeting format.
Each event type specifies several parameters: the meeting duration (15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, or custom), the location or conferencing tool (Zoom link, Google Meet, phone call, or in-person), buffer time before and after the meeting to prevent back-to-back scheduling, and the days and hours when this meeting type is available. Some event types might only be bookable on weekday mornings; others might be available any time.
In SavirOS, event types power the booking page system. When you share your booking link, visitors choose from your available event types and see only the time slots that match that type's rules. This structured approach to scheduling reduces miscommunication and ensures every meeting starts with the right expectations about format and duration.
